It is 35.5 metres wide, 15 metres high and weighs 270 tonnes - the screen for the first cinema, which is perfectly compatible with the corona virus: a completely contactless drive-in cinema in front of the halls of MESSE BREMEN. From Friday, 22 May, the initiators will be showing current and classic blockbusters - such as "Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw", "Parasite" or "Shaun the Sheep - UFO Alarm" - every wednesday to sunday from 8.45 p.m. For children there is an afternoon programme on some days. The sound for the films comes from the car radio on a separate frequency.
On the Bürgerweide there is room for 650 cars. Two cinema fans or all members of a household are allowed to sit in each car. Tickets for 12 euros per person must be purchased online in advance and printed out at home. Security staff then scan them through the car windows. What would cinema be without snacks? A gastro-container supplies packed food and drinks. The drive-in cinema in XXL starts with a double preview on Thursday, 21 May, from 5.45 p.m. "Jurassic Park 1" and "Jumanji 2" will be shown.
