Under the motto "Close together from afar," jazzahead!, the world's largest international jazz trade fair, will be held again in 2021 - and it will be digital. The organizers want to implement large parts of the 15th jazz trade fair virtually from Thursday to Sunday, April 29 to May 2, 2021. This primarily concerns the trade show and the professional program. Among other things, this includes digital networking opportunities as well as panels and workshops that are topical and important for the international scene. In addition, exhibitors will be given the opportunity to offer their own sessions digitally. The showcase selection originally planned for 2020 will take place in 2021. The partner country Canada, on the other hand, is postponing its participation to 2022 due to a pandemic. With the cancellation of the partner country for 2021, the opening of the festival in the Theater Bremen, the gala concert in the Glocke and parts of the further cultural program around Canada are also cancelled.
The 15th jazzahead!, the anniversary edition of the jazz trade fair, was originally scheduled to take place from April 23 to 26, 2020, in halls 6 and 7 of MESSE BREMEN, and the accompanying festival from April 17 to 26, 2020. The entire event was canceled shortly before the start due to the Corona pandemic.
