In view of the large number of people from Ukraine who have arrived in Bremen since the outbreak of hostilities on 24 February 2022, the Social Welfare Authority is opening Exhibition Hall 7 with 656 places as initial accommodation for refugees and displaced persons tomorrow, Saturday, 12 March. Previously, Hall 6 had already been put into operation as the first port of call and the capacity was increased at short notice from 250 to now 560 beds. In addition to a place to sleep, the exhibition halls offer shower and dining areas.
For Hans Peter Schneider, Managing Director of M3B GmbH, to which MESSE BREMEN belongs, making the halls available is a matter of course: “We are exhausting all possibilities to support the City of Bremen in this dramatic situation quickly and without complications.”
