From 4 to 6 May 2022, a total of 3,076 nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals and research experts came together in Bremen for the 16th DEWU German Wound Congress & Bremen Plfegekongress to finally exchange, educate and network in the presence of others.
In about 140 different sessions, workshops, discussions and interactive formats, the double congress not only offered an overview of the current state of research and development, but also provided a picture of the state of the current health policy and ethical discussion. In the adjoining trade exhibition, 105 companies and service providers presented their work and products for wound care and nursing.
An integral part of the DEWU programme is the awarding of the German Wound Prize in various categories – donated by the Initiative Chronische Wunden (ICW) e.V. The expert jury awarded four works and, for the first time, a special newcomer prize. The prize winners are:
