Under the motto #LibrariesDecidedDemocratic, the 9th Library Congress will take place from 24 - 27 June 2025 at the Congress Centrum Bremen (CCB ) and in the halls of MESSE BREMEN.
The Library Congress, also coinciding with BiblioCon, is the largest national conference in the German-speaking world and has been held annually in different cities since 1900. The main topics are the role of libraries as promoters of science and research, as a place of democracy and as promoters of digital transformation and guarantors of authentic information.
It is an event where training, exchange and joint experimentation go hand in hand and librarians and information professionals demonstrate time and again that a well-connected community is essential for the visibility and effectiveness of the institutions.
