The LIFE AND DEATH is a unique mixture from specialized congress and fair around the topics at the end of life. In 2020, the Bremen lighthouse project was to take place at a second location for the first time: in southern Germany, more precisely in Freiburg. Due to the corona pandemic, this became a purely online event. In 2021, however, the organizers hope that the on-site premiere will be celebrated as a presence or hybrid event, if the corona development allows it.

The specialized congress addresses itself to full and honorary working persons from care, Palliative Care, Hospiz, grief counseling, pastoral care and funeral culture. At the accompanying trade fair, exhibitors will also present their products and services to private visitors. Open lectures offer helpful tips and contact persons for all interested parties on topics such as living wills, precaution, mourning management and funeral services. The offer is rounded off by a varied and life-affirming supporting program with live music and readings.
