Accreditation guidelines
As a trade fair organiser, we want to make it easier for journalists to access information about our events and our company with the help of accreditation. Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of journalistic reporting.
Media accreditation can be granted to Persons from Germany or abroad who can prove their journalistic (including photojournalistic) activities (related to the respective trade fair topic) as follows:
- by submitting named articles that are not older than six months at the time of the event.
- by submitting an imprint that is not older than three months at the time of the event and in which they are named as editors, permanent editorial staff or authors.
- by submitting a written order from an editorial manager in the original with reference to the current trade fair.
- by means of a web link to an online publication that is established in the respective industry community and has an appropriate reach. In these cases, prior accreditation is required due to the increased examination effort. Such online media must have existed for at least three months, have regular entries and the last text relating to the trade fair topic must not be more than three months old. (In individual cases, there may be separate, more detailed accreditation rules and a separate status for bloggers).
by presenting proof that they work for school newspapers. This must be a maximum of six months old. Or by presenting a valid ID card from a youth press organisation, or by presenting written confirmation from the school confirming editorial work for the school newspaper.
- Holders of a valid press card from a domestic or foreign journalists’ organisation.
We would like to point out that the presentation of a press card is generally not the sole basis for accreditation. M3B GmbH reserves the right to request further proof of journalistic activity in accordance with the points above. The credentials should be submitted in German or English.
In individual cases, M3B GmbH reserves the right to additionally request the presentation of a valid identity document with a photograph.
The following groups of people are not accredited:
- Persons without journalistic credentials, such as account managers, sales managers, advertising consultants or webmasters, PR consultants and private escorts
- Germans resident in Germany who present a foreign press card
- Persons who present a written assignment from freelance journalists
- Persons who are only privately active in social networks.
There is no right to accreditation. If necessary, M3B GmbH will make use of its domiciliary rights.
